![]() ![]() Although I made the best out of my time, I can’t overlook the negative experiences for they were far greater than the positive ones. Never again will I step foot onto this resort. There were more dinner options open after 5pm but you would need a reservation unlike the buffet. The only other food option that would was the buffet which would open and close between the meal times. With all the exploring we were doing we obviously built up and appetite but to my surprise they didn’t start serving dinner til 5pm. The main lobby was well taken care of in comparison to other rooms such as the spa which seemed to resemble like an incomplete look. The upkeep around the resort varied on where you were. On our nights out, at the sports bar they seemed to cut serving virgin drinks really early which wasn’t the best because the alternatives (soda) tasted weird and I didn’t want to risk my health. The pools were regularly tended to and were clean and enjoyable which was nice. The hotel clerks barely spoke English and seemed at times unwilling to help or express concern for our needs. I couldn’t even sit out on my porch in my room. The oceans were heavily polluted and gave the resort and the rooms a really bad smell. Without knowing the layout of the resort because we weren’t provided maps we had to find our way taking routes unbeknownst to us and we could’ve been hurt, thankfully we weren’t. There were golf carts that the resort provided as a service and after waiting and seeing other guests get helped and serviced to other parts of the resort we realized we weren’t a priority. The room service which was supposed to be all inclusive in actuality cost $10 and took 2-3 hrs to arrive to rooms and the food wasn’t that great upon arrival. The wifi also became an issue, cause there were a bunch of times where I couldn’t communicate with my daughter back at home, or even just use the basic internet or mobile games. The doors were a little loose to the bathroom and porch and some slight movements of the doors resembled knocking which became obnoxious. It was still dirty and were missing sheets to our sofa bed. The last room we were presented with and stayed in for the duration of our trip was not much better than the other two. Not only was check in a long process (5 hours), but once we were shown to our room it because clear that we were going to have another issue…cleanliness! We had to switch rooms twice because of the egregious smells and hair and stains on the sheets end pillows. My friend and I, initially booked for room with a jacuzzi but didn’t receive that when we got there. The room I stayed in at my time at the The Grand Palladium Resort and Spa was not the room I payed for. I wish I could say my trip to Mexico was the best experience that I’ve ever had while traveling outside of the States but that would be stretching it.
